THE DIRTY DOZEN (Dundas Valley Conservation Area)

World Record: Patrick Goeres (King of the Mountain)

Description: This line orienteering course was originally designed for GHO Canada GHO members to prepare for the World Orienteering Championships in 2006. This course is 6km with 6.6% climb so the course is also known as 'The 666'. It has a dirty dozen climbs - hence the name. You can race this test run two ways. For speed or for the polka dot jersey. In the latter get a group of 4 or more runners and jog the course together. When you get to start of each of the climbs run them as hard as you can. Points are awarded for placings on each climb to determine the King of the Mountain winner. .
