Using Ottawa Orienteering Club’s popular Fall Series format, we are offering four categories for both the forest and sprint events (these descriptions are for the forest events):

Novice: 2 –3km (all on trails)

Intermediate: 3–4 km (controls are mostly off trail, within a short distance of a trail, so running on trails between controls will always be an option but short cuts are possible)

Short Advanced: 4–5 km (this course will have more route choices and runners will need to be able to identify more detailed features)

Long Advanced: 6–8 km (similar to short advanced but more physically challenging, be prepared for anything..:-)

The distances for the sprint will be about half what is mentioned for the forest events above.

There will be no age categories for any of the events, rather we believe having many people running the same course will satisfy those who enjoy comparing times with fellow participants.

ADULT: $20 (sprint) / $30 ea. (Sat. & Sun. classics)

JUNIOR or STUDENT: $15 (sprint) / $20 ea. (Sat. & Sun. classics)

LATE

November 4 - 13
ADULT: $30 (sprint) / $40 ea. (Sat. & Sun. classics)

JUNIOR or STUDENT: $20 (sprint) / $25 ea. (Sat. & Sun. classics)

Entry fees include all race maps and a 2024 DontGetLost Adventure Running membership to cover race insurance. HST and the online transaction charge are not included. Click here for our Refund policy. Registration closes at midnight on November 13.

WAIVER

Before you participate in any DontGetLost event, you'll need to sign our waiver. It is valid for the remainder of 2023 for all events hosted by DontGetLost Adventure Running in any region so you don't need to sign again if you did one of our events earlier in the year. A Parent or Guardian must sign the Waiver for any participant who will be under the age of 18 on the day of an event. Thank you!
